Digambar tradition writes the opening word as णमो; many Śvetāmbar texts retain नमो. Both are correct.
What the five colours mean
These are the five colours of the Jain flag. Each stripe stands for one of the five supreme beings, and the same five mark the opening lines of the mantra above.

Straight answers
Who can edit our listing?
Only people the sangh names. We verify with the institution before granting access, and access can be withdrawn by the sangh at any time.
What happens to our data?
It stays yours. We publish what you ask us to publish, we do not sell it, and we do not pass it to advertisers. You can ask for your listing to be removed.
Do we need the app?
No. Everything an institution needs to manage will work on the website. The app is for members.
Is there any charge?
No. Listing and editing are free for religious and community institutions, permanently.

The Jain Prateek Chihna, adopted by all Jain traditions in 1974–75 for the 2500th anniversary of Mahavira’s nirvana. The arc is the siddhashila, the three dots the Ratnatraya, the raised hand ahimsa, and the wheel within it dharma.
The swastika here is an ancient Indian sacred symbol of wellbeing, used in Jain practice for centuries. Its four arms represent the four states of worldly existence.

Is it really free?
Yes, for everyone using it and for every institution listed. There are no ads on religious listings and no paid placement. Later services for businesses may be paid; temples, sthanaks and sanghs will not be.
Who is behind Jain Waves?
A small team from the community, based in Navi Mumbai. Our address, email and phone number are in the footer — we are reachable.
Which traditions are covered?
All of them. Digambar and Shwetambar, including Murtipujak, Sthanakvasi and Terapanth. Pan-Jain neutrality is a rule we hold ourselves to, not a slogan.
How do you verify a listing?
We confirm with the sangh or trust that runs the institution before it goes live, and the institution keeps it current afterwards. Anything unverified is marked as such rather than quietly published.
When is the app coming?
Android first, iOS to follow. We are not announcing a date we cannot keep — join the waitlist and you will hear once, when it opens.
